Promotion, Giveaway and Blog Tour Policy

We are open to promoting lit events, authors, and their works via the following promotional posts:

Book blast/blitz
Cover reveal
Guest post
Interviews
Spotlight
Press release

We are also open to joining blog tours. Please email us at lacababookblog @ gmail.com and provide us with sufficient details and the type of promotion you have in mind for your event or book. Please take note that we will only respond to promotion and tour invitations that we are interested in. As much as we would love to help everyone, we would also like to be genuinely interested in the book/event that we are promoting. We do not accept financial compensation in exchange for any type of promotion.

Review Policy

Review requests from authors, publicists and publishers are welcome!

Our reviews are honest and we do not receive any compensation in exchange for a review. We also strive to be fair; if we do not like your book, we will explain why in a manner that will not demean the book and the author. For your information, this is our Rating System:

5 Stars: Absolute PERFECTION.
4.5 Stars: Amazing!
4 Stars: Love it!
3.5 Stars: Like it!
3 Stars: It's okay.
2.5 Stars: Almost okay. Almost.
2 Stars: Needs work.
1.5 Stars: Didn't like it.
1 Star: Hated it.

We reserve the right not to review books if they are not within our reading preferences, or if they contain material that we do not agree with.

For guidance, these are the genres we prefer:

We also enjoy reading the following genres, but we will only accept them for review on a case by case basis:

Although we may occasionally read the following genres, it is most likely that we will not accept them for review:

If you would like us to review your book, please contact us via the form below. You can either send us ebooks or hard copies (hardcover/paperbacks) of your books and ARCs.

If you are sending us an ebook copy, please do not attach them in your initial email, we will only request a copy if we are interested in reading and reviewing your book.

If you want your book reviewed by a particular reviewer, you can message them via their Goodreads page:

We will only respond if we accept your request and sometimes it will take us some time to do so. We're budding reviewers and welcome your requests, but depending on work, school, or other commitments, it may sometimes take us a bit of time to reply.

Accepting a request doesn't necessarily mean that we will review your book, especially if we don't get into it. A No Review is better than a Did Not Finish review, in our opinion.

All our reviews are linked to the books' respective Goodreads pages via their book covers. We also have purchase links at the bottom of the book's summary from Amazon, The Book Depository, and Smashwords when applicable. If you would like a different link added to your book, feel free to let us know.

Aside from this blog, we will also post our reviews and ratings on Goodreads, Smashwords, and Amazon, when applicable. There are also some instances when we will only post our review on Goodreads and Amazon.

The Not-So-Literary Heiresses (that's us!) are two sisters and their cousin who share a passion for reading. We are nieces of multi-awarded Filipino author Jose F. Lacaba and the late Eman Lacaba, who is considered the only poet warrior of the Philippines (and whose biopic is being released late this year!).

You would think being related to literary geniuses would sprinkle a little bit of writing talent and ambition our way, but one of us is a bank executive, another one is a broadcast tech on a cruise ship, and another one is in business school.
